How To Use Clarisonic – 5 Super Weird Ways
Last Christmas I got a Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush. I have wanted one for YEARS but at over $100 for this face brush I was never in the mood to spend one and a half benjamins on a face brush.
My sister is a hairdresser and had been using one for some time and raved about it.
Last Christmas I treated myself to one and I am so glad I did!
I bought the Clarisonic Mia 2 – which is sort of the middle of the road in price when it comes to Clarisonic’s Facial Cleansers. You can check out all of their facial brushes here. The Mia 2 is $169 no matter where you decide to purchase it, Clarisonic.com, Amazon, or at a department store like Macy’s or Dillard’s. They are all $169! I did find it on sale for $139 at QVC.com.
So the main and most obvious reason for using a Clarisonic is to wash your face. Clarisonic says it cleans your face 6x better than your hands do.
Here are 4 other totally weird ways I use my Clarisonic.
Weird Clarisonic Use #1: To exfoliate my face and legs before I apply self tanner. Being an 20lb overweight mom of two little kids I avoid letting my body parts see the light of day during most of the year. My all-time favorite, absolutely fool proof, self tanner is by Tanwise. It is the best and by far the cheapest self tanner I have ever tried. Giving your face and legs a good scrub with your Clarisonic will allow your self tanner to apply more evenly and to last longer.
Weird Clarisonic Use #2: To exfoliate my armpits before I shave. I do this about once a week. I think it gives a cleaner shave, prevents ingrown hairs, and yes, we have fallen into ingrown hair discussions on this blog – something I never thought I would find important. Ha!
Weird Clarisonic Use #3: Since I keep my Clarisonic in the shower it’s easy to clean my nails with after painting furniture. A quick scrub and my hands no longer look like a zombies. Sorry, I have recently started watching The Walking Dead. Zombies are top of mind right now.
Weird Clarisonic Use #4: I use my Clarisonic to exfoliate my lips. Winter leaves my lips dry and peeling. A smooth down with my Clarisonic and a lip scrub they are good as new. This is super important if you use a long lasting lipstick like LipSense or COVERGIRL Outlast, because if your lips are dry then every little lip flake shows up with these products.
