Thrifted Anthropologie DIY Christmas Wreath Score
A few Christmases ago I was coveting this wool Christmas wreath from Anthropologie. If I remember correctly it cost around $300. FOR A WREATH. Anthro, who is buying $300 wreaths? I must meet this woman in person because I don’t think I have ever met her.
She must smell amazing and come out of the womb with a permanent pedicure.
I lucked out this past spring by picking up this similar wreath at the thrift store for $3.89.
Want to meet the $3.00 wreath woman? Here she is. She hasn’t washed her hair in three days and doesn’t get a pedi all winter long.
Do you know how long it would’ve taken me to make this wreath?
Hours.
After further inspection I found out the wreath is made out of wire clothes hanger. It had a hideous felt bow and was misshapen from being on the thrift store shelf, but I spruced it up and hung it on my kitchen chalkboard with a $3 Target Bin bunting.
The moral of this story is, don’t discard the Holiday section at the Thrift Store all year around. There are some gems to be found, even in the off season.
Of you do want to make your own Wool Pom Pom Wreath you can find Wool Pom Pom Wreath Instructions at View From a Fridge.

The next time you approach a front door with a Pom Pom Wreath hanging on it ask yourself who lives inside?
The $300 Wreath Lady?
The $3 Wreath Lady?
The DIY Christmas Wreath Lady?
Or the Macy’s $30 Online Shopping Lady?
Which wreath loving lady are YOU?
I’m likin the Macy’s wreath today.
I’m like you – thrift Store $3 wreath. My daughter is the $30 Macy’s wreath. My mother would be the DIY wreath and my sweet daughter-in-law (married to our son the attorney with no kids and more money than sense) is the $300 wreath. And I can promise, if Kate Spade makes a wreath – it will be on their front door when we visit next week!
I’m definitely the Macy’s lady right now!!!
I love the Macy’s style wreath, but love the thrifted wreath price better. So got to go with thrifty wreath!
My front door lucky to be sporting a wreath at all. I guess I’m barely a hair above thrift with a Big Lots wreath
Macy’s all the way!
The $3 wreath definitely!!!
I…like…cheap…wreaths…and I can not lie…. 🙂 I’m a thrift girl, allllll the way!
