I can’t believe this is really real! And that I am typing these words and they are true!
I am opening a brick and mortar store with two other business partners at the end of April!
I have officially handed over the keys to my studio and moved into our new storefront! Things move quickly around here!
This has been going on behind the scenes for the last two months. I was borderline skeeered to open a retail store because in my previous life as a banker I saw firsthand many retail businesses fail.
A lot of them.
I had always said that I don’t want to own a retail store but here I am, pulling up my business lady panties, and going for it!
The new store is called Spruced Cooperative – you can check out our website here.
Have you checked out our website yet?
I really want you to hop on over there!
Spruced Cooperative is made up of 3 business partners who specialize in interiors (me!), on-trend affordable clothing (that’s Jenn & Kari from Soulful Charm) and a full service salon by Ali at Profile Concierge Hair Service (if you are local you might recoginze her work being featured in tons of Brides of Oklahoma magazines. She’s a rockstar.
Hand to God this powerhouse four-fecta was a divine intervention of conversations over the last couple of months that just blossomed into a business plan that is now Spruced Cooperative.
Here is a peek at the front of the store where we will have all of our adorable clothes, home decor, and furniture available 5 days a week!
We took possession of our store this Tuesday and it felt like we were in one of those movies where they buy a beat up, old, fishing boat, make it over, and when they are finished it’s a fabulous cruise ship.
Soon we will all be sipping Pina Coladas on the Lido Deck.
We have quite a bit of work to do, but the space has great bones, and we are shooting for the 3rd week in April to open our doors.
This is my dedicated workshop space where I will teach all of my classes. It’s a major upgrade from the warehouse space I had leased for the past two years. I loved that space but this definitely feels like I’m moving on up!
So the cat is outta the bag. Although I said I never wanted to open a store my business partners are what makes this new leap into retail all that more fun!
I would love it if hopped on over to sprucedcooperative.com and sign up for our emails so we can make sure you get our Grand Opening Invitation. We just started our Facebook and Instagram accounts. Please go give us a follow! It’s weird starting at zero with another business but I know I have the best readers who will wrap their arms around us!
I can’t wait to share with you the store’s transformation and more about the hows and whys of deciding to jump into retail!
