Do ya’ll remember my entryway? You can see all of the BEFORE sadness here. It got a mini-makeover for about $65.00 and I can’t wait to show you!
Houndstooth Pillows | Vintage Frames | Sisal Rug | Recovered Seat Fabric
I bought this set of vintage frames at The Feathered Nest a few months ago. I loved the vintage silk chartreuse border but I didn’t love the color of the wooden frames.
Plus they were in pretty rough shape.
See what I mean?
I painted the wood in a wash of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in the color Curio to give the effect of a stain.
I sealed them with Hemp Oil and then taped the back together. I didn’t take a picture because it’s downright ghettofied.
And I can still display my favorite pillow from Vintage Market Days.
The fabric is Premier Prints Premier Ikat Slub Canal from Fabric.com. Paired with the revamped frames it is the perfect combo of modern and vintage.
In 7 years of owning this home I am finally pleased with my entryway. It’s about time, huh? I just love changing stuff out until it feels right, don’t you?
