A job that I would love is designing strictly for kid rooms and nurseries. I love how unique each one can be and how you can throw in special items or design elements. One of my clients had relocated and was wanting to make up a nursery for her baby girl. Many of the items she had prior to the move, so we just added in some additional items, picked a paint color, and got to hanging. I love the feeling of this calm, soothing, and pretty soft pink and gray nursery.
The backdrop for the room was the wall color which we painted in Sherwin Williams Repose Gray 7015. It’s a wonderful gray that can fit in with almost anything, and makes the pink really pop. The curtains were a soft, pink silk drape that came from Pottery Barn Kids. And that chandelier…GORGEOUS. It was purchased from Joss & Main.
This little lamp and table we picked up at HomeGoods (MY FAVORITE!). I painted out the top with a raspberry pink from Benjamin Moore called Mardi Gras 1342 which gave a little ‘umph’ to an otherwise bland table.
The little elephant print and Somewhere Over the Rainbow print came from Etsy. Aren’t they adorable? And the awesome photography (of baby and cherry blossoms) is done by my client. You should check out her awesome work…she does beautiful work and is available for sessions here in Oklahoma City area!!!
I love how this room turned out…so soft and soothing. A perfect place to rock a sweet little baby!
