Disclosure: I know you all are MEGA Tuesday Morning Fans because it’s always a topic of conversation on my Facebook Page! So am I. Tuesday Morning was generous enough to provide me a gift card for accessories for this year’s Orchestra League Symphony Show House.
Last week the 2018 Orchestra League Symphony Show House wrapped up it’s last week of tours. This was a design project months in the making and it’s always bittersweet when the show closes. This 6,500 square foot home allowed Oklahoma City’s most distinctive and talented designers (including myself!) to transform this estate-like property into one of the most unique and decadent homes you have ever laid your eyes on!
Just in case you are not an OKC local I am giving you a peek inside our Blush Crush Bedroom & Bathroom so you don’t have any lingering FOMO.
Here is what the bedroom looked like before we got our magical designing hands on it. It was a bare shell because the home is currently for sale, allowing us to have a blank canvas to work with. You can see our design plan and even more “before” photos here.
This bed and bath makeover could not have happened without our amazing room sponsor, Tuesday Morning. I personally have a love affair with Tuesday Morning because they offer high end goods at an incredible savings. All of the accessories look expensive but to maximize my budget I knew Tuesday Morning would be able to deliver what I needed for the luxurious theme of the bedroom and bath.
Tuesday Morning offers new deals each day, handpicked by their buyers. This means each and every trip to Tuesday Morning always has something different in store. Locally I have 4 different Tuesday Morning stores within 30 miles of me. I scoured all of them and was delighted to find new and different decor at every single store. You can find your local location of Tuesday Morning here.
The Orchestra League Symphony Show House has some of the biggest names in Interior Design working on every room in the house. Most of the designers are furniture store owners or use their in-house designers who have the luxury of hand selecting items from the store’s showrooms. Since I am an independent designer I have a passion for finding new, interesting, and on-trend items but for a fraction of the cost. My clients LOVE that I can stretch their budgets and still provide a upscale look, mostly because of the unique and high quality items found at Tuesday Morning.
For example, these beaded pillows were only $15 each at Tuesday Morning! We nicknamed them our “sexy little pillows” and really lent to the luxurious boudoir feel of the bedroom and bath.
We also built a faux brick facade, white washed it, and installed a temporary linear mount fireplace.
We found the antelope bust and oversized (and mega heavy!) medallion plate at Tuesday Morning. We attached the two pieces together to create a unique and over-the-top fireplace decor.
Around every corner Tuesday Morning finds can be spied, like this modern mirror above the bed.
The built-in desk and bookshelf lent for lots of opportunities to accessorize the bedroom.
The foundation for the room was corals and soft whites it gave us permission to mix metals of gold and rose gold. Most folks thing that they can’t mix metallics but the coral was our permission pop of color to let us break the rules. Everything in the bookshelves also came from Tuesday Morning. Talk about stretching our budget!
I used coffee mugs as a succulent planter and another Tuesday Morning Find, the gold geometric lamp, was a hot topic of conversation for the room with the oversized succulent placed inside.
The ultra talented Jonathan Kwee from Fabricologie in Edmond custom made the headboard, sofa, bedding, barrel chair, and drapes. I did all of the faux finishing, accessories, and lighting. We divided and conquered for this design project.
My favorite accessories in the room were all of the lamps (there were 4 total!) and ultra unique decor. Designing a Show House room allows total creative freedom and is a chance to go over the top with design.
I also painted all of the furniture and hardware. This piece of art was created by local artist and dear friend of mine Jennifer O’Reilly.
Even some of the furniture were Tuesday Morning scores, like this mirrored gold console table.
The tassel throw was the talk of the town and sold the first day of the show! Yep. Tuesday Morning strikes again!
Thank you Tuesday Morning for partnering with me to make this room complete. You can find steals and deals from your local Tuesday Morning by viewing their local ad here.

What is your favorite Tuesday Morning score? Mine favorites are too many to count, hence why I had to document all of them in this blog post!
