I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving; and had fun with family and friends! Did you get your shopping in? How about decorating for Christmas? All finished? Looks like if you live in Oklahoma or Texas, this weekend would be the perfect time to start a fire and decorate with the crazy weather coming! I’m all decorated at my house and feeling inspired from my post from Thanksgiving day.
Okay, okay back to the project at hand…I had some sticks in vases and wanted to put some Christmas ornaments on them. So, I decided to make some homemade ornaments. They’re super easy to create and here’s how…
To start the ornaments you need the following, along with several cups for dumping the excess, and ribbon for hanging.
Start by pulling off the tops. You’re then ready to add the Pledge Wood Floor Finish.
After you have the Pledge floor cleaner in the ornaments, swirl it around to cover the entire inside of the ornament and dump out the extra.
You’re then ready to add the glitter. I used gold, silver, and white mixed together. I prefer the fine glitter, specifically Martha Stewart Crafts Essential Colors Glitter Set, 24-Pack
because it comes in a million different really pretty colors.
Once the glitter is in, give it a good swirl to cover the entire ornament and pour out the extra glitter.
Once your ornament has dried, put the top back on, and your ribbon, and you’re finished! This is such a simple, easy project that even the kids would love to get in on.
