Who is as fickle as I am when it comes to your wall art? Anyone? I am constantly changing my mind when it comes to my walls. So when Royal Design Stencils contacted me about trying out one of their stencils I knew I had the perfect project for my Master Bedroom! Come check out affordable DIY canvas art with Royal Design Stencils and a sweet giveaway so you can score your own amazing stencil!
I could seriously peruse Royal Design Stencils website all day. I couldn’t make up my mind because they are all so gorgeous! I finally settled on the Endless Circles Lattice Moroccan Stencil from The All Over Moroccan Stencil Collection. I also got to try their 2” Stencil Brush. Let me tell you this brush is life changing. Not kidding.
Stenciling can be challenging but this brush made it a breeze! You brush your paint on in a circular motion using the 2” Stencil Brush and this really eliminated any bleed thru on to the edges and also created really nice texture with the paint.
I used the custom coral mix that I created with CeCe Caldwell’s Paints and simply stenciled the design (with the magical brush) onto 4 blank white canvases.
Once the paint was dry I decided to wax the canvases with CeCe Caldwell’s Clear Wax to bring the color back to life and add a little shine. I wondered how it would work since I have never waxed canvas before but it was a snap!
A close up of unwaxed vs. waxed canvases. Doesn’t it make a difference?
I hung them laterally on the wall above my bed.
It takes up the entire wall and I love how it filled the previously awkward space.
The coral and crisp white tie in nicely and the modern lattice makes it not seem so feminine.
This project was so affordable because I can reuse the stencil and I only had to buy 4 canvases at Hobby Lobby for around $16.00 total! Then I won’t feel guilty if I have to change it out; but I don’t think that will be happening anytime soon!
Now you can snag your own stencil from Royal Design Studios! All you have to do is enter in the widget below! The winner will be announced on Monday July 15th.
They have so many new stencils I wish I could have them all!
I am really coveting the Mykonos Trellis Stencil
And to feed my growing arrow obsession I think I’m gonna need this Herringbone Shuffle Stencil.
So go, enter, and ready, set, stencil!

I was just looking at this site the other day!! I’m pretty smitten with the peacock feathers stencil! My mind has imagined all of the things I would like to try it on!! Thanks for the heads up!!
I am a member of the peacock feather lovers club too!
how cool is that!
I love all their stencils and have been following them on facebook for awhile. I love the Springtime in Paris Letter Stencil, Dressing Room Chandelier and Paris Postage Stamp. Three of my favorites at the moment. I also think your bedroom is coming along very nicely!
The Mikonos Trellis stencil is perfect for so many applications! I could use it on the walls I’m getting ready to paint, the floors in the entryway, the furniture I’m painting soon…OH and the bathroom ceiling! Yes, that would be the first project!
OMG Bathroom ceiling idea is genius!!
How beautiful! I love the color you chose!!
I would choose the herringbone…I loooove me some herringbone! 🙂
I love the large fabric damask stencil!
I’d choose the herringbone stencil.
I’m popping over from Liz Marie Blog. This makes the cutest art!
(P.S- I love your Threshold lamp shade!)
Love the Antoinette damask stencil 🙂
I love their brand new polka dot stencils. Cannot wait to paint some drawer fronts with them! Love seeing spots!
I love the endless circles stencil!
Love that coral color, looks great!
Any of them!
So many ideas!!!!
I loved the one you use; or I would choose something beachy. They are all great and would love to win one!
I think I would choose Antoinette Damask Wall Stencil. I could search on their site forever. They have so many awesome stencils. I will be honest though, they do intimidate me! But I think I could learn how to do them!
These stencils are like potato chips…you can’t pick just ONE! I want the entire moraccan collection, and several of the furniture and ceiling stencils, but I really love the Chez Sheik furniture stencil. I’m working on a headboard right now that NEEDS that stencil!
Ha Kelly! At least stencils are non-fat guilty pleasure!
i love all the damask ones the best I think!
I love the Endless Circles too, but its so hard to chose!
