I have been keeping a little secret from you all. It’s not something I meant to keep a secret, but I just never found the right time to talk about it.
It’s like in the movies. The more you put off “the talk” the more awkward it becomes for no apparent reason.
I’m shaking off all excuses and letting you guys know: I own a social media management company.
That wasn’t so weird, now was it.
This has been sort of a natural extension to my business, as I have been doing speaking engagements for over 3 years about how to run a small business’ social media. Before I knew it I started taking on social media coaching clients and making a tremendous difference in their businesses. At first it was Etsy Shop Owners and other furniture painters. But then I started getting referrals for larger clients, like franchises and medical practices.
I have applied all that I know about Facebook Ads Manager (oh what a complex beast it has become), Search Engine Optimization, and Retargeting Ads, and helped these companies get in front of their perfect customer for pennies.
Social Media has totally transformed their businesses.
Working with these companies has been so fulfilling.
I knew I needed to practice what I preached and make it official.
I just launched The OKC Social Media Manager this weekend and I couldn’t be more excited.
I will most definitely still be helping Etsy Shops & other creative businesses but I wanted to have a place where I can share my professional management work & not cloud my creative endeavors on my blog.
The pricing is really flexible, depending on the size of your business and your needs. No two clients are charged the same because every single customer is different.
I want social media success to be attainable to everyone. Most businesses don’t have it in their budget to hire a full-time marketing person and the cost to hire a PR firm is astronomical. Plus, a PR firm usually runs accounts like a large business. Being a fellow small business owner puts a different perspective on what I offer. Launching this consulting business has been a rewarding process and I am glad I am finally able to come clean with you!
Last week I also launched my Blogging for Business Bootcamp and it has completely exceeded my expectations! When I taught a similar workshop, in-person, last April at my studio – it was standing room only. Which made me realize there is a HUGE need for business owners who want this information. It took me almost a year to develop the course and I am super proud of it.
I am running a special until February 20th with HALF OFF the enrollment fee. Just use the coupon code LAUNCH at checkout – you can find out more about the course HERE.
I have also hired a videographer and I am filming eCourses for both of my Furniture Painting Essentials & DIY Sign Making Classes. I am so excited to create these because I get emails on the daily asking me if I offer online classes. Not to worry – I will still offer in-person classes just as I always have and each person who enrolls in a workshop will also get the companion eCourse for free! Pretty awesome!
SO what about my painting business and blog?
It’s still here and will remain here for a very long time. It’s the core of all that I do. I hired a friend, Holly, to set up all of my classes for me, so all I have to do is show up and teach! She has been a wonderful addition to my team and I am super grateful for her.
So that’s that.
My conscious is clean. Whew. I’m feeling better already.
