Weekend Wrap Up & OK Women Bloggers Rock!

Wah! The weekend is over!  Please serve me some cheese with my whine!

It went by fast and furiously.  We had our inaugural meeting for the Oklahoma Women’s Blogging Round-table.  It was so great to chat with other bloggers and realize I am not the only one who struggles with balancing life/blogging/being a mom/staying legit on your blog/what to share/what not to share with your readers/social media/work/having sex with your husband on a semi-regular basis. (Ok, we didn’t get that personal, but we did talk and tweet many hilarious quotes during the meeting.)

Here is a quick roll call of all the blogger who attended.  Go give them a holla and a proper Refunk howdy!

Brooke Clay from Rural Gone Urban

Red Dirt Kelly from Red Dirt Chronicles

Dee from Red Dirt Ramblings

Marie from The Lazy W who was so kind to host our event at her ranch.  Dude, she had a buffalo.  Fo’ real.

Rose Rock Oklahoma

Laura from The Steen Style

Katie from Dishin and Dishes

And Sonya from Beyond the Screen Door

So excited to learn from this group and I ain’t gonna lie, I feel so official, meeting with other bloggers and acting important.

I also swung by Buchanans and bought a few things:

A fancy tray $20.00 (high, I know.)

This awesomely huge paper bunny.  I have already painted it in Spring Hill Green and plan on putting her on my porch.  She was $2.00.

This trophy-like artichoke for $7.00.  I have a thang for artichokes, I don’t know why, I rarely eat them, but love to decorate with them.  Again, already painted it in Spring Hill Green as well.

These horse heads were $5.00 and I plan on spray painting them a glossy white.

And the grand finale, the piste de resistance, are these antlers.  I have been obsessing about getting some forever.  Seriously, I live in Oklahoma, home of pistol packin, wilderness loving, rednecks, right?   It took me over a month to find these.  They were $30.00 and the dealer was kind enough to come down $10.00 from the original $40.00 price tag.  Yay!

Argh.  These antlers pose so many unknown questions…

Am I just missing the antler horn hook up?  Why can’t I find these anywhere?  I am also wanting to spray paint them glossy white.  Is that a sin if these are real antlers?  How can I tell if they are real?

So how was your weekend?  WWYDWYA?  (What would you do with your antlers?)
