Sports and boys go hand and hand. So, when it came to decorating my boys room my husband was rooting for a sports theme. So, here is our sports themed bedroom…
My jumping off point was the Junior Varsity quilts that we purchased from Pottery Barn Kids when the boys were still itty bitty, with the anticipation that we would one day bunk them together. I added some fun by mixing sheet patterns: the star sheets with the blue and white stripe. I also created the SUPER, HERO pillows which were inspired by Pottery Barn Kids. You can see the how to HERE.
I wanted to keep the room light, bright, and airy. So, instead of going with dark wood frames, I chose white frames with white mats. It keeps the room lighter and gives it a more modern, clean line look. I love that I can switch out pictures as they grow! The initials above their beads are tin letters purchased from Hobby Lobby. Balls were an easy decor choice since we had THOUSANDS of them just laying around. All I had to do was purchase a wire basket from HomeGoods and we were set!
These cute little blocks were made by a sweet friend when the boys were still infants. All of her supplies came from Hobby Lobby. This is the neatest they’ve ever been. Usually they are stacked and scattered all over the place. The boys love them! And the piggy banks…they can be picked up in the children’s section of any Target.
I love their room! They were so proud to see it and say ‘this is my room!’ Oh, and by the way, keep your eyes peeled…black dresser goes red dresser re-do coming soon!!!
Super cute Hayden! I can’t wait to see the red dresser!
Love this! We’re all girls at my house, but if I had a little guy I would have so loved to do a room with a sports theme. So very fun!
Hayden it looks like this room jumped off the pages of a Pottery Barn catalog, but warmer. Love all the details, lucky little boys you have!
