Happy 2015! I love the fresh start feeling of a new year, don’t you? Each new year I go back and look at what my top blog posts were for the previous 12 months on Google Analytics and every single year I am surprised at what is the most popular! This year I am down right shocked at a few that made the list. Some of these posts are bringing it back old school, from the archives, 2012, before I even owned a DSLR camera or knew what the heck I was doing when it came to blogging. Ha! What do I know. As soon as I think I have this blogging thing figured out you guys sure teach me a thing or two and decide to read a bunch of stuff I wouldn’t consider my best work!
So bust out your iPod shuffle and your Guitar Hero and let’s take a look at RMJ’s greatest hits – even if some of them are throw backs!
Yes, that is a picture of me with mascara tear stains on my pillow. This is the blog post I wish I would have never wrote. After my sister gave me a haircut I was less than pleased with I decided to blog about it and it caused a huge fight between us. We didn’t talk for almost 3 months. My Mom was mad at me too. We eventually all made up and mine and my sister’s relationship is stronger than ever but I learned a valuable lesson in blogging – you can’t blog about the people in your without their permission.
On a side note – I actually ended up really liking my hair (as you can see in this follow up post). When I was pregnant my hair was growing at a freakishly fast pace it would have been really easy for me to grow it out but I like my short hair so much I kept it and one year later I still love it.
This post is from 2012 and all of the sudden has gained popularity – thanks Pinterest! There is some great information if you want to start painting custom furniture for other people.
Who wants to tape off all of those edges? This posts explains how to skip that step and save your sanity!
I still use this lamp and I still love the color. Worth every bit of the $12 I paid for the lamp!
I scored this piece for $25 at a garage sale and the makeover is pretty dramatic! Go check out the before and let me know what you think!
On Monday I will finish the rest of the countdown – until then I guess one of my New Year’s goals will be to step up my blogging game in 2015!
