Altar’d Designs Furniture Painting E-Books & Giveaway {how to paint furniture}

Altar’d: Custom Hand Painted & Refinished Furniture and Vintage Home Décor

Since becoming a CeCe Caldwell’s retailer, you know I have given up using latex-based paints and also stopped offering latex furniture painting classes.  I even gave all of my latex paints away.  BUT, I do think that my relationship with latex is not in the divorce stages, more like an amicable seperation.  I am sure I will still use it for furniture again at some point.  Since I don’t teach latex workshops anymore, I still get LOTS of questions about how to use latex paints and what my process in my workshops was.

Let me introduce to you Mandie from Altar’d Designs in Houston, TX.

She is one of the kindest, most honest, and talented furniture painters I have ever met.  When I first started my business I just drooled over her work and have developed an online-friendship ever since.  I was able to meet her in person and we  went to dinner together at Haven.

Enough about our blossoming relationship… Mandie has written three E-Books to crack open all of her Latex painting secrets after owning her business and painting over 3,000 pieces of furniture.  And her E-books mirror alot of the content that I taught in my furniture painting workshops. So her E-Books are just like taking one of my latex-based workshops.  But cheaper. And on paper.

The first E-Book, Paint your Furniture, is great for beginners, and even more experienced painters because it gives lots of product recommendations and Do’s and Don’ts. And, it is only $10.00! Better than than the $160.00 I charged for Latex Workshops!

The second E-Book is the recipes for their top 15 Best Selling Finishes! It’s like The Pioneer Woman and Ty Pennington had a baby and birthed this book. And it’s only $15.00 to find out all of their secrets to their amazing paint and glaze combos!

And then lastly is Decorative Finishes, an E-Book dedicated to adding flair and originality to your painted pieces. Again. Only $10.00.

Now, are your ready for this giveaway? One reader will get a copy of ALL THREE BOOKS! All you gotta do is leave a comment on this post saying what you are most excited to learn about in Mandie’s Altar’d E-Books.

I have also added a link on my sidebar where you can purchase the E-Books anytime. So comment, read, learn, and get Altar’d!

I am an affiliate for Altar’d E-books and recieve a percentage of the sale of the books purchased from my website. But, I endorse them because they are awesome!

I too have been drooling over Altar’d furniture for months since I stumbled upon their website. I LOVE to recreate furniture to be loved once again and have done many pieces for my home, but it would be great to have some insider help and not re-create the wheel all by trial and error on my own! :)

I’m pretty new at altering my furniture, but am enjoying the heck out of it. The “Most Wanted Finishes” sounds like it would be a great addition to my lack of furniture painting knowledge.

  • Stephanie Winfrey says:

I would be most excited to receive these books to reinforce and make what I know better and more complete about furniture painting. It would be nice to actually have handbooks available for points of reference especially since this is just a hobby and not my daily job.

  • These books are going to be a wonderful addition to my growing library of DIY. You are so talented and I’m pumped that even though I can’t do a workshop these books can give me the direction I need!

I have loved reading your blog since I first came across it. It was through you I learned about Miss Mustard Seed. I adore the furniture you two have created! My co-worker and I snuck out to find your booth at Feathered Nest on our lunch break last week! :) You have inspired me to learn how to paint furniture to bring in a little income on the side for my family. Problem is, I was thinking about just diving in and testing out techniques and seeing what happened. I would LOVE to have these books to get me started and give me some guidance. It would be such a blessing if I could turn this into a full-time job as you have. Thank you for your blog! :)

  • Brandi Taylor says:

Class today was so much fun!! Thanks so much!!! I would like the books so I could use up my stash of latex paints before moving on to chalk!!!

  • Brenda Lalong says:

    Thanks,
    Brenda
