This year’s OKC Orchestra League Symphony Show House is right around the corner starting May 5th -May 20th!
Last year was my first year to design a room for the Orchestra League Symphony Show House. It was an honor to participate and so much fun to decorate with my own vision and not a clients!
Don’t get me wrong, I love my clients, but the freedom to make all of my own design decisions is a luxury I don’t get to do often!
This year I am co-designing and collaborating with interior designer, Jonathan Kwee from Fabricologie. It’s been months in the making of brainstorming,
arguing like a married couple, and custom designing furniture together! I wanted to share the BEFORE photos of our bedroom, bathroom, & closet before we boujee it up.
Warning: We are going GLAM with our design concept. Jonathan keeps telling me my style is too casual and I am determined to prove him wrong.
I AM fancy on the inside.
If you want to see my room transformation from last year’s Symphony Show House check it out here.
This 19 room, 6,451 square foot house, was custom built in 1994 and is situated on 1.67 acres. The French Style amazing home features a kitchen that is a chef’s paradise, a master bedroom that has a spa-like bath with private patio, a lovely sun-room overlooking a patio with a pergola covered in Wisteria and these are just some of the features!
The Hashmi family, current owners, loved the versatile floor plan with 2 stair cases, the back stair case allows quick access to the upstairs bedrooms. Susan Hashmi especially loved the sunny kitchen with a small patio outside for grilling for the family or just relaxing on a swing. This home, in addition to hosting many family and friend parties, also hosted a fundraiser for a congressman.
There are multiple entertaining areas in the house, to allow several generations to have their own space.
This year we have some amazing sponsors to help bring our vision to life in our selected bedroom. We have a combination of a bedroom, attached full bathroom, and a closet to design. This year’s sponsors for our room makeover include:
Accessories provided by Tuesday Morning. Seriously, with $1,500 in gift cards from Tuesday Morning I felt like I was on the best episode of Supermarket Sweep. Remember that game show?
Lighting provided by Live Boho – IMHO they have some of the BEST and most unique lighting selections in Oklahoma City.
Fireplace provided by Aynes Enterprises
Rugs provided by Amini’s Galleria – if you have not visited their new location on Memorial Road in North OKC they have seriously upped their rug game and have huge selection.
Art provided by Mathis Brothers Furniture and Jennifer O’Reilly.
This year’s room is a glamorous combination of blush toned corals, golds, and whites with custom furniture hand built by Jonathan Kwee, owner of Fabricologie inspired by Modern Furniture artist Milo Baughman.
ON THE OKLAHOMA CITY ORCHESTRA LEAGUE

Top talents bring you beautiful spaces filled with hundreds of remarkable and unique items — and almost everything is on sale. Gorgeous furniture, elegant textiles, stunning ornaments and decor of every style around every corner at the Symphony Show House.
